Privacy Policy

ZODIAC FREIGHT INC. respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy describes what we collect, what we do with it, and who else ever sees it. It covers all three ways you deal with us: this website, the phone, and text messages to and from our dispatch number.

It does not cover what happens inside a shipper’s or broker’s own portal. If you reached us through one, that company’s policy governs what it holds.

Only what it takes to quote a load and then run it. In practice that is four things:

• Contact details — your name, your company name, the phone number we reach you on, and your email address.
• Shipment details — pickup and delivery locations, the commodity, weight, pallet count, dates, appointment windows, and any reference or PO numbers you give us.
• Messages — the content of text messages you exchange with dispatch, and the record that your number opted in to receive them.
• Server logs — the standard request records every web host keeps. Section 07 describes them.

Along with anything else you volunteer when you contact us. Almost all of it comes from you directly, spoken over the phone or typed into a text message — we do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or your device’s location.

To do the job you called us about, and to keep the records a motor carrier has to keep. Specifically:

• to respond to inquiries — to price a lane and give you a quote;
• to provide transportation and logistics services — to plan, schedule, and run the shipment;
• to communicate shipment updates while it is moving — a pickup confirmation, a delay, a delivery — by phone or by text, whichever you have asked for;
• to provide customer support, during the move and after it has delivered;
• to invoice the move and settle it;
• to comply with applicable legal requirements, including federal transportation recordkeeping obligations, and to defend a claim if one is made;
• to keep this website online and secure.

That is the whole list. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build a profile of you, we do not feed it to an ad network, and calling us for a price does not put you on a mailing list.

We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it and we do not rent or trade it. There is no advertising partner, no data broker, and no affiliate marketing arrangement.

Information may be shared only when it is necessary to provide our services or to comply with legal requirements, and only with these:

• The parties to your shipment — the shipper, the receiver, and the facility. They get what the move requires and nothing else.
• Carriers and logistics partners — including the broker or logistics provider that tendered the load, and any warehouse or facility the freight passes through.
• Service providers who work for us — the company that hosts this website and the messaging provider that delivers our text messages. They may only use what they handle to provide that service to us.
• Our own professional advisors — an accountant, insurer, or attorney, when a shipment or a claim requires it.
• Authorities — when the law requires it, such as a subpoena or a regulatory audit.

The messaging provider is the one people ask about, so to be plain: it carries our messages the way a phone company carries a call. It does not receive your consent as something to use, share, or resell, and neither does anyone else on the list above.

If you opt in to receive SMS messages from ZODIAC FREIGHT INC., dispatch may send you service-related messages about your freight — shipment updates, appointment reminders, and customer support communications. It is a conversation with a person, not a broadcast list. Message frequency may vary with what your shipment is doing.

You opt in by telling dispatch you want text updates, or by texting us first. There is no form on this site to opt in through, and we never add a number that has not asked.

Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out stops the texts and nothing else — we will still call you about a load in progress, because that is the freight, not the messaging program.

The consent itself stays with us: SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates. Full details are in the SMS Terms of Service.

Everything above happens on the phone. It does not happen here. There is no form on this website — no contact form, no quote form, no newsletter signup, no login, no chat widget. There is no field anywhere that you can type into, and nothing is sent anywhere when you read a page.

It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising scripts. There is no embedded map and no third-party widget. Even the fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, so loading a page does not announce your visit to anyone — including us.

That is not a promise about how carefully we handle what you submit. It is a statement that there is nothing here to submit.

This site runs on a third-party hosting provider. Like every web host, it records standard request logs — IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — as an ordinary part of serving the site and keeping it secure. That is the only record your visit creates, we do not build profiles from it, and it is not linked to you as a person.

A shipment record lasts as long as it is useful and as long as the law says it must: while the load is moving, while it can still be invoiced, questioned, or claimed against, and for the period federal transportation recordkeeping rules require of a motor carrier. When a record is past all of that, it is deleted. An opt-out is the exception — we keep a note that your number said STOP, because that is the only way to be sure we honour it.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Access is limited to the people who need it to run your freight, and we keep the amount we hold small — which is the most effective protection there is. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise.

To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, call dispatch. There is no self-service portal and no form to fill in — a person will handle it. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we may have to keep records the law requires us to keep.

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message. To stop calls, tell dispatch. Neither costs you anything and neither affects a shipment already under way.

This is a freight carrier. Our services are for businesses, they are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, call dispatch and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted here and the date at the top of the page is updated. The date is the whole notice — there is no announcement.
