Hours of service, respected
Transit times are planned against legal driving hours. A schedule that only works if a driver skips a break is not a schedule we will quote.
ZODIAC FREIGHT INC.Dry Van Carrier
Reliable dry-van transportation across the 48 contiguous states, backed by clear communication and dependable execution.
01 — About
We move dry-van freight across the 48 contiguous states, from a base in Darien, Illinois. Every load runs on dependable execution, from pickup through delivery.
Clear communication, professional handling, and delivery windows we commit to only when they can be met — from the moment the load is picked up to the moment it is signed for.
Operating profile
02 — Services
Dry van only — enclosed, weather-protected trailers. What changes from one service to the next is the lane, the schedule, and the commitment behind it.
Enclosed trailers for palletized and packaged freight that needs to stay dry and secure.
Our core service. Dry vans handle the broad middle of American freight — consumer goods, packaged food, paper, retail, and general commodities that require protection from weather but not temperature control.
One shipment, one trailer, one driver — from origin to destination without transfers.
Your freight is the only freight on the trailer. Fewer touches, fewer handoffs, and a straight line between the shipper and the receiver.
Coast-to-coast and cross-country lanes across the 48 contiguous states.
Long-distance movements planned around realistic transit times and hours-of-service rules, so the schedule we quote is the schedule we run.
Shorter lanes and repeatable regional runs, including the Midwest corridor around our Illinois base.
Regional freight rewards familiarity — with the lanes, the facilities, and the receiving windows. We build that familiarity and reuse it.
Recurring capacity for shippers who move consistent volume on consistent lanes.
When a lane runs on a predictable rhythm, it should be handled that way. Dedicated arrangements are built around your schedule rather than rebuilt every week.
Freight planned around a delivery window that genuinely matters.
Tight windows are a planning problem before they are a driving problem. We plan the route, the stops, and the appointment first — then we run it.
03 — Coverage
From our Illinois base to any dock in the lower 48. One carrier for the whole run — your freight is not rebrokered to a stranger.

Coverage map. Zodiac Freight moves dry van freight across all 48 contiguous states, from its base in Darien, Illinois. The map shows illustrative freight corridors reaching Minneapolis, MN; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Miami, FL; Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA.
Corridors shown are illustrative. We run 48 contiguous states — not a fixed set of lanes.
04 — Equipment
A dry van is an enclosed, hard-sided trailer — a rigid box that keeps weather and road off whatever is inside it. It is the only equipment we run.

Key
A dry van is the right trailer for most freight and the wrong one for some. If your shipment is on this list, you will hear it on the first call, not at the dock.
05 — Why Zodiac
Six commitments about how we run freight. Every one of them is something you can hold us to.
You hear from us before you have to ask. Updates arrive when something changes, in plain language.
One carrier, every lane, all 48 contiguous states — the same people answer the phone whether the run is 200 miles or 2,000.
Pickup and delivery windows are committed to only when they can be met, then they are met.
Loads are secured, documented, and moved with care from the dock to the delivery door.
A known status at every stage of the move, communicated directly rather than buried in a portal.
A real person who knows your shipment, reachable by phone — not a queue and not a ticket number.
06 — Process
Five steps, in the order they happen.
Tell us the lane, the freight, and the timing. We price the move against what it actually takes to run it.
Commodity, weight, pallet count, and both appointment windows are confirmed in writing before anything moves.
Equipment and driver are assigned to the lane, and the pickup is set against the shipper’s receiving hours.
The load runs to plan, and you hear from us as it progresses — not only when something goes wrong.
Freight is delivered into the receiving window and the paperwork is returned to close the shipment out.
07 — Safety
We publish no score, no rating, and no figure we cannot stand behind. What we can give you is how the freight is actually run — and two public registration numbers you are free to check yourself.
Carrier registration
ZODIAC FREIGHT INC.
Public registration identifiers. Both can be looked up by number in FMCSA records.
Transit times are planned against legal driving hours. A schedule that only works if a driver skips a break is not a schedule we will quote.
Equipment is checked before the run, not after something goes wrong. A trailer that is not right does not get loaded.
Freight is loaded and restrained for the road it is about to travel, and the load is confirmed before the trailer is sealed.
08 — Contact
One number reaches dispatch. Tell us the lane and we will price the move.
